We are currently having our services in a high school and God has done incredible things. He has drawn people in an amazing way. However because its a school and also because of the limited space we have made the decision to find another place for our worship meetings. We have been looking at some properties and at first we thought about buying land but the prices. So we have scaled down to renting land and setting up a tent.We believe that this new place of meeting will give us more space for growth and also freedom to meet when we want to.
Here is a budget which will help us get started:

1) Land rent for a year $1,000
2) 400 seater tent $4,000
3) Pulpit and ground work $1,500
4) 200 chairs $2,000
5) Toilet $2,000

We are believing God to move into the new place in October. We believe that all things are possible.
We covet your prayers and financial support to help us get to the next level. You have been with us since we began this dream and we request you to continue in the same way.
Donations came be made via paypal on our website http://www.newdestinyuganda.com
Together we are reaching the lost with the good news in word and deed.

Have a great weekend,
Sam and Team at New Destiny

Hello friends and partners,
At last i have some breathing space to write here after a busy week.
I bring you greetings from New Destiny Community Church Uganda. We thank you for your prayers, love, encouragement and financial support without which we wouldnot be able to reach the people.
Yesterday was a long awaited day and yes it was our Baptism day.Last Sunday I labored to teach and enlighten the people on the importance of baptism. That as we are baptized we share in our Lord’s death, burial, resurrection and get a new life. What a joy it is that we are joined as one with Christ and as the bible says…joint heirs seated together in the heavenly places.Halleluyah!
So this Sunday it was show time.We had missionaries from Norway who delivered the Word and ministered to those who needed prayer for healing. We had lunch at church and then we went to the hotel.Pictures tell a better story but there so much joy as we baptized 26 people. After the church service one lady gave her life to Jesus Christ and then she said “I want to be baptized today”….we were excited for her.At the pool we met Graham a missionary England here on a medical mission.I asked him to join us in baptism coz we were 3 ministers and many people. He joined us and we had a great time.I encourage you to visit our pictures and see what God has done.

Pray Requests:
1) We need a new space for our worship services. We are growing so fast and we need to place that can handle.
2) We need sound equipment
3) We need laborers. The work is plenty. If you are a church please consider a mission trip to Uganda to help us in the work
4) Partners. We need partners to come alongside us both as individuals and churches.

Again we thank you for your commitment to stand with us.
Shalom
From Sam and the Team at New Destiny

Hello saints,
We had a great 7th service today. The church is beginning to grow and new people are being invited in by their friends.
We are attracting many young people to the church and we are excited about that.Today i saw an alcoholic walk through our gates and i was excited too because we are attracting unchurched people. Its our desire to make our worship service a place of freedom for all to walk in.I think we have over 10 tribes of people in the church and a family from Kenya. The young girls from the Kenyan family today performed a dance and it was great seeing them up there.
A new school term is beginning here tomorrow. We had an opportunity to counsel the students and children about school conduct. We also were able to distribute books, pencils and crayons. Thanks to Jim and family who donated to the school supplies project. It was good to share the love of Jesus to these children that way.I guess for some it was their first time to have a crayon.Let me take this opportunity to also encourage you to consider sponsoring a child through our ministry.
We have children who are not going to school, some have lost their parents and others have parents who are just not able to take their children to school. So pls help us educate these children. We believe in touching one life at a time and who knows these children are the future agents of change in this slum community. For $30 a month you can sponsor a child and change their destiny forever. We are also working with the high school where we are having our services. Many youths are not able to pay their dues and the rate of drop out is high. You can sponsor a youth through high school for $100 a school term or $300 a whole year.
Am posting pictures here of today. We were also able to recover pictures from Kenya mission trip so I will post them too. We’ve been invited next month to Rwanda for a leaders conference from 8th-14th June.Am traveling with the team and our budget is $500 so pls partner with us as we take the message of hope to the nations.
We are behind on our rent.We need $500 at least by the end of this week. Also if you like a to give towards our need for chairs each is $10.I have some news concerning our need for a keyboard,a pastor friend told me his church has an extra one and he is still trying to figure out how to ship it to Uganda so pls keep your fingers crossed.I will keep you posted as soon as we have it in our hands.
We are also in need of sound equipment. We believe in a God of miracles and yes He will do it.No matter how high your mountain God is going to level it in Jesus name.
Be encouraged and hold on coz change is coming.
Remember you can give your donation via our website http://www.newdestinyuganda.com

Have an awesome week,
Sam

Yesterday was one of the happiest days for any church planter. We started our choir practices and had over 20 youths. We also managed to get up our donation link via paypal. Thanks to Evan and the team at harvest media. They have done a great job on this site.Yesterday also we put up our banners and they are flying around the area. The word is coming out and we are building momentum slowly.Today I attended a conference where Dr.Lai was teaching on leadership.I was blessed.

Thank you all for your prayers.
